Hey guys--

Can anyone point me to a show or shows featuring an instrumental only WX Report prelude? (Meaning they do the prelude but go directly into Let It Grow without any of the WX Report lyrics preceding.) Thanks!

GC

Ach! never mind--final edit here...I think I found it: Springfield, MA. 3/28/73 WX Report prelude>Dark Star.

There were no shows where they did Prelude>Let It Grow.

There are a bunch of shows from '69-71 where Weir teases the prelude for a bit. The first one where we get a real band version (well, kind of) is 7/21/72, where they mess around with it between songs.

Then we have:
11/19/72 Dark Star>Prelude>Half-Step
3/21/73 Prelude>Dark Star
3/26/73 Truckin'>Prelude>Jam>Wharf Rat
3/28/73 Prelude>Dark Star
4/2/73 Prelude>Eyes

Let It Grow debuted (by itself) on 9/7/73, then the next night they played the whole suite for the first time.
